One of the most recent advances in the use of Bilberry was during World War II. British RAF pilots who used Bilberry jam on their bread seemed to be far more successful at hitting their targets. Plus it aided their vision in adapting to darkness by accelerating regeneration of the retina. Bilberry was found to also help restrain the development of conditions such as Glaucoma and Cataracts. Eyebright works as a vaso-constrictor and astringent to the nasal and conjunctiva mucous. It also helps with eyes cloudy and irritated with lacrimation (excessive tears) of watery or stringy mucus. Cardamom maintains the proper functioning of the body’s metabolic activities by stimulating the secretion of various enzymes and hormones. Calendula is diverse in that its anti-infective and anti-inflammatory actions are applicable for both internal and external complaints. Peppermint Leaf increases oxygen in the blood and works to strengthen the entire body. The nutrient most responsible for eye health found in carrots, is called ‘beta-carotene’, and is a ‘carotenoid.’ It is an anti-oxidant that removes damaging free radicals from the cells of the eyes as well as other parts of the body.

  • Ingredients: Bilberry, Peppermint, Bilberry Leaf, Carrots, Eyebright c/s, Orange Granules, Rosehip c/s, Cardamom Seed, and Calendula. HERBAL INFUSION: Bring water to a boil and turn off heat. Add 1 tsp. herb per 1 cup of water. Let sit covered for 10 minutes before straining. Always shake condensation from the lid covering back into the tea. Add honey or lemon to taste.
