Lycii Berry (Goji berry) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – ‘yin’ cooling tonic. Goji berries are highly valued in TCM and are used to strengthen the immune system, as a sexual tonic, to improve vision, and as a liver and kidney tonic. Peony root has been used in Chinese and Japanese medicines for centuries due to its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-allergenic, analgesic, anti-coagulant and sedative properties. Peony root contains flavonoids, tannins, pro-anthocyanidins, asparagi, sitosterol, glycosides and monoterpene. Peony root can be used as a sedative, helpful in calming nervous conditions. It also acts as a diuretic to eliminate bladder and kidney problems. It is used as an analgesic to reduce headaches and menstrual pain. Due to its anti-coagulant properties, Peony root can be used as a blood purifier for liver and stomach. It has been used in the treatment of jaundice; due to anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, Peony root has been used effectively to treat gastrointestinal infections. It is also effective in relieving skin problems, making the skin look younger and healthier. Wulong Tea (Black Dragon Oolong tea) is good for the heart. Regular drinkers of Wulong Tea have reported lower levels of cholesterol, which lower the risk of heart attacks. Wulong tea has also been shown to reduce high blood pressure.

  • Ingredients: Frutus Lycii, Peony Root, and Black Dragon Tea (Keemun). HERBAL INFUSION: Bring water to a boil and turn off heat. Add 1 tsp. herb per 1 cup of water. Let sit covered for 10 minutes before straining. Always shake condensation from the lid covering back into the tea. Add honey or lemon to taste. Enjoy hot or iced.
