Maca is considered an adaptogen, meaning that it helps the body and mind adapt to stressors of all kinds and exerts an overall normalizing effect on the body. Maca root is loaded with vitamins, minerals, beneficial fats, amino acids and plant sterols, making it a very nutritious whole food. Eleuthero is also an adaptogen, it helps normalize the body, restoring and regulating natural immune response. Parsley helps to detox the body and assists the liver in detoxifying poisons, works as a blood purifier and cleanser, and is rich in vitamins and minerals. Lemon Balm is a mild herb and blood purifier. Oat Heads have a calming effect on the nerves. Oats increase strength of mind, body and spirit. Bugleweed has the characteristic of regulating the body by relaxing some systems while re-enforcing others. It strengthens the functions of the circulatory system. Myrrh bark produces a medicinal resin with anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and astringent actions. Myrrh encourages the production of ‘thyroxine.’ In their 2000 book, "The Herbal Drugstore," Dr. Linda B. White and medicinal plant expert Steven Foster assert that myrrh stimulates the thyroid and is a useful treatment for hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid. If you have hyperthyroidism, the opposite problem, avoid myrrh. Hops’ primary nutrients are chlorine, copper, fluorine, iodine, iron, lead, magnesium, manganese, sodium, vitamin B-complex and zinc. Thyro Support Tea
Ingredients: Maca Powder, Eleuthero, Parsley, Lemon Balm, Oats Head, Oat Straw, Bugleweed, Myrrh Gum Powder, Hops, Licorice, Wheat Grass Powder, Strawberry Rooibos Tea HERBAL INFUSION: Bring water to a boil and turn off heat. Add 1 tsp. herb per 1 cup of water. Let sit covered for 10 minutes before straining. Always shake condensation from the lid covering back into the tea. Add honey or lemon to taste. Enjoy hot or iced.
