Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) is useful for suppressed menstruation and other female disorders. It is also a good heart tonic. It promotes circulation, helps to remove arteriosclerosis, dissolve blood clots, ease symptoms of angina, and palpitations. Motherwort is a nervine and as such is good for treating various neurotic conditions as well as hysteria, convulsions and insomnia. NOTE: Avoid use during pregnancy.
