The lymphatic system comprises the lymph nodes and their connecting vessels as well as the tonsils, spleen and appendix. The lymphatic system works in tandem with the circulatory system and contributes to the healthy flow of fluid throughout the body.
Cleavers is one of the most effective, diuretic, blood purifiers known used to treat enlarged lymph glands, cystitis, psoriasis and skin diseases and eruptions. Calendula may improve lymph congestion and swelling. Astragalus is an immune-system enhancer; it increases the production of interferon, which helps the immune system. It has anti-viral properties, both preventive and defensive. Lady's Mantle has potent astringent properties and for centuries has been used by European healers. Mullein is used for swollen lymph glands and lymph congestion as it can help loosen mucus from the respiratory and lymphatic systems. Red Clover is a blood purifier. Herbalists consider it a very effective blood cleanser and recommend it in cleansing programs. Red Clover contains one of the best mucus clearing sources in nature. Safflower is a bitter herb that improves colon function and also helps with blood vascular cleansing. Spearmint relieves smooth muscle spasms, increases blood circulation, and promotes sweating, which helps to relieve pain. Red Root stimulates lymph and inter-tissue fluid circulation; it is effective in treating sore throats, enlarged lymph nodes, and for shrinking non-fibrous cysts.
