Longan Fruit is used as remedy for stomachache, insomnia, amnesia, and dropsy. This fruit is said to invigorate the heart and spleen, nourish the blood and have a calming effect on the nervous system. Researchers have determined that Pu-erh Tea can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disorders because it reduces blood lipids. TCM classifies Pu'er tea as being rich in ‘qi,’ or life force. This makes it good for circulation, removing toxins from the blood and for the relief of minor aches and pains. It is further classified as a ‘hot’ food, which helps treat conditions caused by too much ‘cold’ in the body, such as stomach ailments and problems of the spleen. Pu'er is often served after large meals, especially fatty foods, as the tea is believed to help the body digest and cleanse itself of fats. (add it to your favorite Smoothie)
