GUGGULU (Commiphora mukul) aka - Gum Gugul

Guggul is a gummy yellowish resin extract from India used primarily for lowering cholesterol. It also reduces platelet stickiness and helps to eliminate blood clots, which may make it effective in preventing strokes as well as preventing other cardiovascular problems. It has been used to increase HDL cholesterol (“the good cholesterol”) needed by the body. Another very important aspect of Guggulu is that it stimulates thyroid function.
