Colon Health
This formula is used to cleanse and help maintain both the small and large colon. Triphala is comprised of equal parts of three herbal fruits: Harada, Amla and Bihari. Harada helps promote digestion and treat acute, chronic constipation. Amla helps increase gastric emptying and has anti-microbial properties. Bihari is a source of protein, oils and linoleic acid, an omega-3 essential fatty acid. Jatamansi is a strong anti-oxidant, coolant, anti-inflammatory and a diuretic. Manjistha is an anti-inflammatory, wound healing and blood-purifying herb. Slippery Elm aims at the GI tract where it provides nutrition, and a coating over stomach and intestinal ulcers to soothe the colon. It neutralizes stomach acidity and absorbs foul gases. It helps with the digestion of dairy products. Ayurvedic medicine in India uses Turmeric as a digestive aid and for cleansing. Milk Thistle is well regarded in Europe as a remedy for liver problems and as a digestive aid. Garlic has the ability to stimulate cell growth and activity, thus rejuvenating all body functions. Yerba Mate aids digestion by stimulating increased production of bile and other gastric acids. Yerba Mate helps keep your colon clean for effective and efficient waste elimination, and helps reduce the stomach bacteria that can contribute to bad breath. Apple Fiber (pectin) helps to maintain balance in the colon; its soluble and insoluble fibers act like a broom to cleanse the entire digestive tract of waste material.
