Bloodroot is used externally as a tincture, powder, or ointment for the treatment of skin afflictions, including athlete’s foot or other fungal conditions, skin cancers and burns.  It is used in a salve often called ‘black paste’ for removing tumors, skin cancers, moles, and other topical excrescences.
